About the
Écuries de Beauregard
We breed and train sport horses and ponies with passion, with respect for their well-being and potential.

The start of our adventure
Our equestrian adventure began in 2014 in Düsseldorf, with the purchase of Havanna Lady, Ombeline's first mare, then aged 14. In 3 years, their complicity took them to the saint-georges level in dressage. Trained with great riders such as Hans-Willi Weber, Robinson Bodewig or Philippe Jorissen, Ombeline has perfected her technique and rigor. In 2020, the family moved to Huccorgne to create a place dedicated to horses. This is where the Écuries de Beauregard were born, a breeding, training and well-being space for sport horses and ponies.

The well-being of horses,

FAQ – Frequently asked questions about
our stable near Huy
Find here the answers to the questions we are asked most often. We explain how we work, our services and how we ensure the comfort and balance of each horse and pony.
Do you sell sport ponies and horses?
Yes. Our main activity is the training, promotion and sale of sport ponies and horses. We regularly offer horses ready to evolve with a supervised rider, as well as young horses progressing according to profiles.
What types of horses/ponies do you offer?
We mainly work with sport ponies and horses, with particular attention to mentality, quality of work and progression. Each horse is presented transparently: current level, character, strengths, areas for development, and recommended rider type.
Do you offer box/board places?
Our structure is not a pension and we do not sell box places as our main activity. To date, our boxes are complete and we are not taking new pension applications.
Do you do pony club or lessons?
No. We are not a pony club and we do not offer general public lessons. We work with sport ponies and horses.
How do I know which horse will suit me?
We ask you a few questions to guide the research: rider level, supervision, sporting objectives, frequency of work, budget and experience. The objective is to offer a horse adapted to the rider, and not only “a high-performance horse”.
Can we come and try a horse?
Yes, by appointment.
How does a test take place?
In general: presentation of the horse, observation at work, test by the rider (if relevant), then debrief. Depending on the horse, we can also offer a session where we first ride the horse before the test.
Is it possible to buy remotely (international)?
Yes. We share recent and detailed videos, and we can arrange a tour/trial with a coach or representative on site. The modalities are discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Do you give transparent information about horses?
Yes. We present the horse's real level, its character, its health, its strengths and its areas for improvement. Our objective is a coherent, lasting encounter, and respectful of both the horse and the rider.
Is the horse's well-being compatible with performance?
Yes, and this is the basis of our work. We believe that a horse that feels good in its head and feels good in its body progresses better and more sustainably. Our method aims to develop performance without sacrificing the horse's balance.
How to contact you for a specific horse?
The easiest way is to write to us via contact form, specifying the horse that interests you, your level, your objectives and your supervision.
Where are you located?
We are based in Belgium, in Wanze. Visits are by appointment only.
